PanoPeek for iPhone.
Questions, ideas or a picture that doesn't open right: write to panopeek@gmail.com. Please mention your device, its system version and, if you can, the camera that took the panorama.
My panoramas are not in the list
- PanoPeek shows 360° panoramas (equirectangular: 2:1, or marked as 360° in their metadata) from 360° cameras and apps such as Insta360, RICOH THETA and DJI. Ordinary photos and the iPhone's own panoramas are not 360° and are not listed.
- If you allowed access to selected photos only, PanoPeek sees only those: tap "Change Selection" or allow full access in Settings › PanoPeek › Photos.
- Any picture can still be opened: "+" › "From Photos…" adds it to the list, "Open Files…" opens a file once.
- No 360° pictures yet? Tap "Open Sample" on the empty screen.
A card reader, a USB drive, iCloud Drive or a server
- "+" › "Add Folder…" and choose the folder (for a camera card, usually DCIM). PanoPeek remembers it: while the card is out the folder says "Not connected"; put it back and tap "Try Again".
- A network server (SMB, for example a NAS) appears in the folder picker after you connect to it once in the Files app: Files › Browse › "⋯" › "Connect to Server".
- Pictures that are only in iCloud are downloaded when you open them.
Crops
Tap the crop button, choose a proportion, frame the view and tap ✓. The crop is saved to Photos with the date and place of the panorama when it has them (and, with full Photos access, in the "PanoPeek" album). The caption under the frame shows the size the crop will have; turning the phone keeps the frame.
Location
For a picture from your Photos library, tap ⓘ, then the place line (or "Add location"), to set or change where it was taken: move the map under the pin or search for a place.
